What types of service De Hubs Provides in terms of Sea Freight services.
The services we provided included Container booking, Haulage and Custom Clearance Services. Basically is Door-to-door (DTD) services.
What is the difference between FCL and LCL shipping?
FCL (Full Container Load) The entire container is dedicated to a single shipper, regardless of whether it’s fully utilized or not.
LCL (Less than Container Load) Goods from multiple shippers are consolidated into one container.
Are your sea freight services available for both domestic and international shipments?
We are providing FCL & LCL from West Malaysia to East Malaysia, and East Malaysia to West Malaysia. For International shipments, it is subject to the availability.
What kind of documentation do I need for sea freight shipping?
Shippers have to provide Invoice and Packing List. If it is Dangerous Goods (DG) Cargo, shippers need to declare it by providing a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). It is subject to liner approval if it is DG Cargo.
How do I track my shipment with De Hubs?
We provide a dedicated customer service helpline and are currently developing a self-tracking system to enable end-users to monitor their shipment status independently.
How long does sea freight take from East Malaysia to West Malaysia?
The shipment lead time on average will be 2- 3 weeks when your cargo arrives at our warehouse. It is very dependent on the Vessel schedule, port status, and custom clearance progress.
Can I ship Live Stocks through sea shipment?
No, this is because the shipment lead time is very long and shipping live stocks need to have various department approval.
Do I need insurance for my sea shipment?
It depends. But we do encourage the shipper to get the cargo insured, especially Fragile items. Please make sure the cargo is properly wrapped and protected.
What are the restriction items for Sea Shipment?
All kinds of Dangerous goods (DG) Cargo need to be declared before sending to our warehouse. We do not accept DG 1 and DG 2 cargo. While, DG 3 subject to approval by providing us the Material Data Safety Sheet (MSDS).
Why are there delays for Sea Shipment?
Few common issues due to several factors inherent to logistics and transportation such as: Weather Conditions (Monsoons and Rough Seas), Port Congestion, Customs and Documentation Issues, Limited Vessel Frequency, Transshipment Delays and Infrastructure Challenges. Those factors usually will result in delay for the ETA.
