Hum TV started airing Dil Banjara, a new Pakistani drama serial on Friday 14 October 2016. Although, it was first tipped off to be named ‘Gypsy’ but later, for some unknown reasons, the team behind its creation changed the title to “Dil Banjara”‘. The drama is penned by Faiza Iftikhar, directed by Siraj-ul-Haque and produced by Momina Duraid.
The cast consists of a fresh combination of lead actors which includes the ever graceful Sanam Saeed as Nida, and Adnan Malik – the guy from Slackistan – as Sikandar. While the serial will also feature Mira Sethi (Shama) who is looking to build on her newly discovered love affair with acting.
Dil Banjara is about two people with different existential circumstances. On one side are Sikandar, an ambient roamer and a passionate photographer whose passion towards traveling and adventure overshadows his more humane traits.
And, then there is Nida, a complete freak when it comes to seeking thrills. Time and again her free spirit wants her to live her life to fullest and break the shackles of her small and middle-class existence, and yet, she is sometimes forced to surrender and bow down to a web of conventions surrounding her world.however, both these characters come from a distinctive background and happen to meet each other somewhere in foreign country Italy.
Mira(Shama) playing a role of very modern friend looking more radiant than ever in Dil Banjara which indicates towards the living standards of the upper-class family.
This drama serial is more interesting because the story is similar to an Indian drama Behad on Sony Tv where the leading male actor is also a passionate photographer like Sikandar and his friend has the true attraction towards the actor as in Dil Banjara where Shama has affection towards Sikandar.
One can conclude that the new drama serial has a modern touch and the combination of characters are also new this looks to be hopeful in providing their viewers with good entertainment every Friday night.
