Pakistani actress Aisha Khan bids farewell to showbiz

Pakistani actress Aisha Khan has announced her retirement from showbiz and media industry. The 35-year old actress announced retirement on her Facebook account on Thursday. She had been associated with the Pakistani showbiz industry for 17 years. She made her television debut in the year 2000 in the PTV drama serial “Tum Yahi Kehna”. She won the Best actress at Pakistan Media Award in 2010.

She made her film debut in Bilal Lashari’s Pakistani film Waar. Later, she appeared in Abhi Toh Main Jawan Hoon and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani where she won the hearts of silver screen fans. She has also worked as a commercial model.

Aisha Khan’s retirement comes as a surprise for many. After the news of her retirement, showbiz personalities and fans wished her luck for her life.

She wrote on her Facebook account “With great pleasure and humility, I have decided to bid farewell to our wonderful media industry. I am bowing out with immense satisfaction and a lot of pride to move on to the next phase of my life,”

She added, “I have always tried to keep my professional and personal life separate and request everyone to understand please. I would also like to let my colleagues and friends know about the limitation that I might have had in accepting new projects since 2016 out of which a few scripts stayed with me for a long time. My apologies. As I move on in life to discover how fate unfolds, I would request my well wishers to remember me and my parents in their prayers.”

Ayesha Khan was raised in Abu Dhabi and Canda. She has not appeared in the press after her retirement leaving a lot of questions to be answered about her future.
